Students are introduced to the concepts of composition design, symmetry, and 1 point perspective. Students learn how different elements of art are used in both personal and famous art works. They will learn to give and take feedback on projects to improve personal art work.
6th Grade Animal Drawings
Students searched for a photograph of an animal of their choice. They learned how to break a complex figure into simple shapes. After they completed the contour line for the animal, they added details, value, and texture using colored pencils. Some students chose to use watercolor paint on the background.
